Good-ish sweater, really bad mug

So last night someone got off work a little early, and was home while it was light out, a rare thing in these short days. They didn't even have time to pop out of their grubby uniform before a camera was thrust in their hands and pulled out onto the deck.

Here's a few photos of me having fun in Elizabeth Zimmermann's V-neck Aran. Knit in Cascade 220 (which conveniently has 220 yards in a hank.) In the color Permission. Call me unpoetic, and a bad writer as well, but to me it's just red, or maybe even brick red.

In that first picture I either look high or crazy, or a little of both. I don't really remember being either when it was taken. Odd that.

In the second picture you really see what I mean when I tell you about the messed up dye lot thing. Oh well, I should have checked it before I knit it, or noticed it while I knit it.

Feel free to make fun of what I'm wearing, the dye lot thing, the look on my face, my messy hair, and really just about anything you can think of.

  1. Love the sweater and the pic! Can you just call your sweater 'eccentric' and leave it at that? I have a cardi that has an odd dye lot as well and I'm thinking about dyeing it, so will let you know if there is success...
